Terms and licence
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms apply when you download, buy or use WS-30 Player. Please read them before you buy. By installing or using the software, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
WS-30 Player is made by WS-30 Audio, a sole trader business in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
2. Buying
- WS-30 Player is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy takes your payment, charges any VAT or sales tax, and emails your receipt and licence key. Its buyer terms also apply to the payment.
- The price is shown on this site and confirmed at checkout before you pay. Discount codes apply only while the offer is running.
- Your download and licence key are delivered by email straight after payment.
3. Your licence
WS-30 Player is licensed to you, not sold. When you buy, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:
- install and use WS-30 Player on up to 3 computers at a time, on macOS, Windows or both;
- use it to make music for any purpose, including commercial releases. You don't owe us anything for music you make with it.
To move a licence to another computer, use ABOUT > DEACTIVATE on the old one first. If a computer is lost or broken, email us and we'll free up the activation.
You may not:
- share, sell, rent or give away your licence key, or let other people use your activations;
- copy or distribute the software, except for your own backups;
- remove, bypass or tamper with the licence check or demo limits;
- decompile or reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it.
If you break these terms, we may cancel your licence key.
4. The demo
The free demo is the full software. Every feature works, but the audio drops out for 2 seconds every 45 seconds. It's for trying WS-30 Player before you buy. Entering a licence key under ABOUT > ACTIVATE turns it into the full version.
5. Refunds and your rights
Because you can try the full demo first, please make sure WS-30 Player works with your computer, your DAW and your disk images before you buy.
- WS-30 Player is digital content that's delivered straight away. When you buy, you ask for it to be supplied immediately, and you agree that this means you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel once the download or licence key is supplied.
- If something goes wrong, email us and we'll do our best to help. We may offer a refund at our discretion.
- This doesn't affect your legal rights. If WS-30 Player is faulty or doesn't work as described, you're entitled to have it fixed or, if we can't fix it, to a refund, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. Updates and support
We may release updates to WS-30 Player from time to time. Features described as coming soon are planned and in development, but we can't promise a date. Support is by email at [email protected].
7. Your disk images
WS-30 Player doesn't include any sounds. It plays disk images that you supply. You're responsible for having the right to use those disk images and any sounds you load, export or record.
8. Trademarks
Roland, W-30, S-550 and S-50 are trademarks of Roland Corporation. WS-30 Player is independent software and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Roland. VST is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. Audio Units and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
9. Our responsibility to you
- We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
- We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses, or for lost or damaged projects, samples or other files. Please keep backups of your work.
- Apart from that, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for WS-30 Player.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the software or the law changes. The version that applies to you is the one shown here when you bought.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. If you live in another country, you keep any consumer protections that your local law gives you.
