This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit ws30audio.com, buy WS-30 Player or activate a licence, and what your rights are.
Who we are
WS-30 Player is made and sold by WS-30 Audio, a sole trader business in the United Kingdom. WS-30 Audio is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect and why
- Website analytics, only if you accept cookies. Google Analytics records the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (country or city). We use it to understand which parts of the site are useful. Legal basis: your consent. Nothing is collected if you choose Reject.
- Purchases. Lemon Squeezy sells WS-30 Player on our behalf as the merchant of record. It collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details. We receive your name, email address, order details and country, but never your card details. Legal basis: to fulfil our contract with you, and to meet tax and accounting rules.
- Licence activation. When you activate a licence, the plugin sends your licence key and a short computer label to Lemon Squeezy's licence service, for example "WS-30 Player, Mac 1A2B3C4D". The label is an anonymous code made from your computer's ID. It does not include your computer name or user name. The licence service returns the name and email address on the order, which the plugin stores in a small licence file on your computer so it can work offline and show who it's licensed to. Legal basis: to fulfil our contract with you.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your email and our reply so we can help you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing support.
- Fonts and hosting. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads. The company hosting the site also keeps short technical logs (IP address, pages requested, time) to keep it running and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the website.
The demo download doesn't ask for any personal data.
Who we share it with
- Lemon Squeezy (payments, tax, licence keys and checkout). See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
- Google (Google Analytics if you accept cookies, and Google Fonts). See Google's privacy policy.
- Our website host, for the technical logs described above.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Some of these companies process data in the United States. They do so under safeguards approved for UK data transfers, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Order and licence records: for as long as your licence is in use, and at least 6 years for UK tax records.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Support emails: for as long as needed to help you, and no longer than 2 years after our last contact.

Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with .

When you open the checkout, Lemon Squeezy may set its own cookies to process your payment. These are covered by Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first, though.
Children
This site and WS-30 Player aren't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
